ADSL2+ 4-port Modem Router
The D-Link DSL-2542B ADSL2+ 4-port Modem Router is an affordable, high-speed remote router for the home and small office. With an integrated ADSL modem, the router connects directly to your phone socket to allow several people to surf, chat or check e-mails on-line simultaneously.

High-Speed ADSL connection
The DSL-2542B supports the latest ADSL2/ADSL2+ standards, providing speeds of up to 24 Mbps downstream and 1 Mbps upstream (ADSL2+), or 12 Mbps downstream and 1 Mbps upstream (ADSL2). It is compatible with all major European service providers.

The heart of your network
The router includes four Ethernet ports, ready for you to connect network devices such as print servers, network cameras, digital media players and computers running any operating system.

Internet Security
The router features a comprehensive firewall that repels Denial of Service (DoS) attacks and prevents hackers from entering your network from the Internet. Strong parental controls allow you to block certain web site addresses, preventing users from viewing inappropriate content. This can be adjusted according to the time of the day (scheduling).
The router also supports multiple VPN pass-through to let you securely access office files and e-mail from home.

No delays with Internet phone calls and gaming
The router is able to identify those data packets that are sensitive to delay, such as in voice or games.
This support for Quality of Service (QoS) is automatic, but can also be configured for you to prioritise your own chosen applications.

Easy to install
The router includes D-Link's Click'n Connect software (DCC). This wizard allows anybody without any prior technical knowledge to install the router and connect to the Internet within minutes. Just by running the product CD, you are taken through establishing physical connections (power and cabling), selecting your ISP from the drop-down menu and finally connecting to the Internet.
